Scott Adkins (The Expendables 2) stars as Casey Bowman, who returns home one day to find someone has brutally killed his wife Namiko (Mika Hijii) and their unborn child. Bereft, Casey has only one thing left to live for… Revenge. The only clues to Namiko’s killer are the barbed wire marks left around her neck. So, with the help of his trusted friend Nakabara (Kane Kosugi), the trail sends Casey from Osaka to Bangkok to the jungles of Rangoon in search of the assassin. Honing his battle skills to a new level, Casey is as discreet as he is deadly, as he becomes a warrior that truly deserves the title Ninja.

The trailer for NINJA: SHADOW OF A TEAR  reminds me of the classic 80’s Ninja movies that Sho Kosugi dominated ; Enter The Ninja, Revenge Of The Ninja, Ninja III: The Domination and my favourite Pray For Death. Great to see Scott Adkins reprising his role of Casey Bowman from Ninja (2009).His martial arts skills so impressed in Expendables 2.

Trivia: Kane Kosugi is the son of legendary martial artist actor Sho Kosugi / Director Isaac Florentine directed the first Ninja movie which also starred Scott Adkins & The Shepard:Boarder Patrol with JCVD that also co-starred Scott Adkins / JCVD & Scott Adkins have appeared currently in four movies together, Assassination Games, The Shepard:Boarder Patrol, Universal Soldier Day Of Reckoning & Expendables 2.
